It’s an exciting day around here – my 2024 Holiday Gift Guide is live! This marks the ninth year of this tradition, and it’s still one of my favorite projects to put together.

I know many of you like to start holiday shopping early, so I wanted to get this guide in your hands as soon as possible to help you avoid the last-minute rush.

We’ve been working on this 42-page magazine spread since August, and it’s truly a labor of love. From curating the perfect finds to bringing it to life with my talented graphic designer, Nicole, and affiliate manager, Melinda, countless hours have gone into making this guide special.

What’s In My 2024 Holiday Gift Guide?

In August, I reached out to the important people in my life to discover their favorite items from the past year. While I often highlight my top picks and Playbook best sellers, it’s always fun to hear what others are loving and using daily.

After gathering all these recommendations, I organized them into an Excel sheet to create a list of excellent gifts worth sharing.

One way my holiday gift guide stands out is by being a digital magazine. I’ve always loved putting it together in this format because it’s easy to navigate, with every perfect gift just a click away—taking you directly to a new browser to shop.

This year, we fully embraced the magazine concept, and Nicole designed the most beautiful cover that feels straight out of the early 00s. She used items from inside the guide to create the “tree” on the cover. So cool, right?!

I know many of my readers are fellow millennials, so I think you’ll appreciate that nostalgic touch!

To enhance the magazine vibe, I included a letter from the editor (yours truly!) and fun articles, like how to host a favorite things party and my mom’s expert tips for trimming your tree. Finn Family Favorites

Every family member has a “Favorites” page this year! Finn’s list is especially helpful if you’re on the hunt for the perfect gift for any guy in your life. He’s a passionate online researcher and shopper, so you can trust that his finds are among the best gift ideas. I always joke that he has expensive taste, but he managed to include some excellent gifts at reasonable price points.

Rory and Ellis also have their own pages. Rory, our 4 1/2-year-old, loves all things girly, and you’ll definitely see that reflected in her top picks. Meanwhile, Ellis, our 3-year-old, shares fun ideas perfect for any little boy.

Once again, my mom put together her own “Jan’s Favorites” page, and wow, she really has some of the best Christmas gift ideas! It was tough to narrow down all the beauty gifts and thoughtful gifts she wanted to feature.
