November is here, and I get it—you’re probably bombarded with sales everywhere you look! It can feel a little overwhelming, right? But here’s the thing: I can’t resist a good deal, especially on home improvement items I know we’ll use all year round.

If you’ve been here for a while, you know that Lowe’s is my absolute go-to for all things home improvement. From tools to appliances to the kitchen cabinets we love, I’ve turned to Lowe’s for it all. So, yeah, I’m a bit of a fan!

Lowe’s Black Friday Buildup

And while Black Friday is still over a week away, a lot of retailers (like Lowe’s!) have already kicked off their sales. Lowe’s is running a “Black Friday Buildup” promotion where we can all shop early and save. So, of course, I had to jump in and snag a few holiday decor pieces for our outdoor space.

What I Bought For Our Holiday Home

I recently took a look at Lowe’s early Black Friday sale and found a few outdoor holiday decor pieces I couldn’t pass up. Our home’s interior is well-covered for the holidays, but our exterior? Not so much—until now! I’m excited to show you what I grabbed and how everything turned out on our front porch.

Let me show you how everything looks…

Front Porch

We don’t do a ton of lights on our house, but I do like to light up our front porch! This 4-foot pre-lit tree fits here perfectly and I just popped it in a pot that I had leftover from the summertime. It’s the perfect size because I never want it to be taller than our mailbox. I think our mailman, Cooper, appreciates that!

Next to it, I have this cute vintage sled. A friend found it at a thrift store and gave it to me years ago, I then added “The Finns” to it with red and gold paint markers.

This year, I finally figured out the trick: cord bundlers and heavy-duty Velcro! I’m thrilled because this garland looks beautiful, and it actually stays put. (No more garland falling down every five minutes.) Plus, it’s so lifelike!

Finally, this cute new wreath! I needed a new one and was delighted to find this wreath. It’s absolutely gorgeous and simple. My favorite part is that it’s pre-lit and works on a timer. I have mine set to turn on at 5pm and it works like a dream. I added the gold bell for an extra touch!

Our Front Porch At Night

Here’s a peek at the porch all lit up at night. I love it! It feels very magical and special. We put everything on a timer, using this smart plug, and it turns on when the sun goes down, which, sadly, is very early these days!

I also got some new battery-operated pillar candles for our lanterns to keep the glow going up our front steps.

In the backyard, I ended up hanging these gorgeous holiday baskets and they too have battery-operated lights on a timer! We loved having our ferns hanging from our pergola over the summertime and I wanted to change it up for the holiday season. I added two of these baskets and they’re stunning!

The Best Tools On Sale

Whether you’re a seasoned DIYer or just love being prepared, there’s a bit of everything in the tool deals this year. I’ve listed some favorites, perfect to grab while they’re on sale.

Even if you’re not a big DIY project household, this shop vac is a great buy. It’s $100 off and I use it when cleaning up all the time. It can suck up both wet and dry particles, plus it’s cordless. It’s a popular item in our house.
